Hoa Phat Group’s new steel pipe plant in Vietnam has fully commenced production, expanding annual capacity to 1.2 million tons

Hoa Phat Group, Vietnam's largest steel producer, held a commissioning ceremony for its steel pipe plant in southern Tay Ninh Province on April 18, marking the facility's entry into full-scale operation. A463 HSLAS Grade 60(410) Aluminized steel, With the new plant online, the company's annual steel pipe production capacity has expanded to 1.2 million tons, allowing it to maintain a leading domestic market share of approximately 35%.

Covering an area of 15 hectares with a total investment exceeding VND 2.6 trillion (approximately US$100 million), the plant boasts an annual capacity of 400,000 tons and utilizes advanced production equipment imported from G7 nations. A463 HSLAS Grade 60(410) Aluminized steel, Strategically located near Ho Chi Minh City and the Mekong Delta, the facility is positioned as a key hub for supplying the southern market and expanding exports.

The product portfolio encompasses black steel pipes, galvanized steel pipes, hot-dip galvanized steel pipes, and large-diameter steel pipes, all meeting international standards such as ASTM (USA), BS EN (UK), and JIS (Japan). Regarding energy, the facility has installed a 10 MW rooftop solar power system capable of meeting over 50% of the plant's electricity needs.

In the first quarter of this year, Hoa Phat Group’s steel pipe sales reached 241,000 tons, a year-on-year increase of approximately 30%. A463 HSLAS Grade 60(410) Aluminized steel, The southern market accounted for 70,000 tons of this total, with sales in March hitting a monthly record of 37,600 tons. The commissioning of the new plant is expected to further enhance the company's capacity to meet domestic demand while supporting export growth.
