High-quality corrosion-resistant Hastelloy C-4 (UNS N06455) alloy plate
Overview of Hastelloy C-4 features and application fields:
Hastelloy C-4 is an austenitic low-carbon nickel-molybdenum-chromium alloy. The main difference between Nicrofer 6616 hMo and other early developed alloys with similar chemical composition is low carbon, silicon, iron and tungsten content. Such chemical composition makes it show excellent stability at 650-1040 ℃, improves the ability of resistance to intergranular corrosion, and can avoid edge corrosion sensitivity and weld heat affected zone corrosion under appropriate manufacturing conditions. The alloy is used in flue gas desulfurization system, acid cleaning and acid regeneration plant, acetic acid and agricultural chemicals production, titanium dioxide production (chlorine process), electrolytic electroplating, etc.

Alloy Hastelloy C-4
Hastelloy C-4 (Ni-Cr Mo) has excellent thermal stability and toughness at high temperature, and has good resistance to stress corrosion cracking and oxidizing atmosphere at high temperature. Suitable for all kinds of hot mineral acids, chlorine-containing media, acetic acid, acetic anhydride, sea water and saline solution and other corrosive substances.

Hastelloy C-4 operating temperature: - 200 to+400 ° C
Hastelloy C-4 Main features: good structure stability, can be used directly after welding. Examples of applications: wet chlorine, hypochloric acid, hydrochloric acid, chloride devices.

Hastelloy C-4 process performance and requirements:
During heat treatment, sulfur, phosphorus, lead and other low melting point metals shall not be contacted, otherwise the alloy will become brittle, and attention shall be paid to removing such as marking paint dirt such as temperature indicator paint, color crayon, lubricating oil, fuel, etc. The lower the sulfur content in fuel, the better. The sulfur content in natural gas should be less than0.1%, sulfur content in heavy oil shall be less than 0.5%. Electric furnace heating is a better choice because the electric furnace can control the temperature and the furnace gas is clean. If gas furnace the furnace gas is pure enough and can also be selected.

The hot working temperature of Hastelloy C-4 alloy ranges from 1080 ℃ to 900 ℃, and the cooling method is water cooling or other rapid cooling methods. To ensure good corrosion resistance, solution heat treatment shall be carried out after hot processing.
