UNS N06035 is an upgraded product of Hastelloy G-30. It has excellent corrosion resistance in the wet-process phosphoric acid production environment widely used in fertilizer manufacturing. In this environment, its performance is far better than G-30 and stainless steel. It can also resist local corrosion of chloride-containing media and chloride ion stress corrosion cracking. Its high chromium content makes it very outstanding in corrosion resistance to nitric acid and other oxidizing acids such as nitric acid mixture. The high molybdenum content makes it moderately resistant to reducing acid. Unlike other nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloys, UNS N06035 can well resist the corrosion of dealloying elements of hot sodium hydroxide.
