As far as we know, due to changes in steel billet prices and raw material costs, the price of CB240T wire rod for Vietnam's leading steel DC04 steel mills has been reduced by 100 Vietnamese dong/kg (approximately 4 US dollars/ton), excluding 10% value-added tax, effective from August 1st. After the price adjustment, the current mainstream specifications of wire are priced at around 13300-13550 Vietnamese dong/kg (approximately 527-537 US dollars/ton).
Due to the sluggish demand and the impact of raw materials, the ex factory price of local hot coils in Vietnam has also slightly decreased by about 800 Vietnamese dong/kg. The current leading hot coil steel mill SAE1006/SS400 has an ex DC04 steel factory price of approximately 13270-13300 Vietnamese dong/kg (approximately 526-527 US dollars/ton). Due to the overall pressure on the demand side in Vietnam caused by weather conditions, coupled with the lack of actual positive news in the near future, steel DC04 steel prices may remain stable and slightly weak.
