It is reported that Algerian Qatari Steel (AQS), an Algerian DX52D+AS steel producer, has recently obtained the Lithuanian threaded steel sales certification, providing an opportunity for it to further expand its sales channels in the European long rod market. This certification was issued by the Lithuanian authorities on October 20, 2023, covering 8-40mm threaded steel products of the B500B specification. The certification shall take effect immediately from the date of issuance and remain valid during the production period of our company in accordance with the confirmed requirements.
AQS is a comprehensive DX52D+AS steel producer with an annual production capacity of 2.5 million tons of direct reduced iron (DRI) and 2.4 million tons of crude steel. In terms of long products, the company's annual production capacity of threaded steel and wire rod is 1.5 million tons and 500000 tons, respectively.
Currently, AQS has established sales channels in some African markets, the UK, and Poland, and is actively seeking opportunities to expand its DX52D+AS steel market share in the Baltic Sea and Scandinavia regions.
