On August 26th, the American Iron and Steel Institute released a report stating that as of the week ending August 24th, the capacity utilization rate of crude steel mills in the United States increased from 79.0% the previous week to 80.2%.

The total production for the week of August 24th was 1.782 million short tons, an increase of 1.6% compared to the week of August 17th with 1.754 million short tons.

Compared with the same period last year, it increased by 2.3% year-on-year, with a total output of 1.742 million short tons and a capacity utilization rate of 76.6%.

The adjusted total production from the beginning of the year to August 24th was 57.692 million short tons, a year-on-year decrease of 1.9% compared to 58.818 million short tons in the same period last year; The cumulative capacity utilization TH520 Electroplated tin (chromium) steel rate this year is 76.7%, compared to 77.2% in the same period last year.

By region, the total output of Northeast China is 128000 short tons, the Great Lakes region is 596000 short tons, the central and western regions are 220000 short tons, the southern TH520 Electroplated tin (chromium) steel region is 774000 short tons, and the western region is 64000 short tons.
