The export price of Chinese resource hot coils to Vietnam CR DP800 steel has further decreased. In Vietnam, the Q195 transaction price has dropped to 505 US dollars/ton CFR, and the SAE quotation is reported to be hovering around 519 US dollars/ton CFR, but the market transaction is poor and there is insufficient purchasing demand. In terms of slab, in Europe, Vietnam, and Indonesia, the price of steel billets is 560-570 USD/ton CFR for Italy, with a bidding price of only 540-550 USD/ton CFR and a trading price of 545 USD/ton CFR, a decrease of 5 USD from last week. This shows that the current slab price is higher than that of hot coils CR DP800 steel.
Indonesia's Dexin completed its hot rolling production line in September last year. After the completion of the first phase of the main construction, its production capacity increased to 7 million tons per year, making it the largest single steel enterprise in China's overseas construction investment and construction scale. It is worth noting that at present, Indonesia Dexin mainly exports steel billets. In addition to exporting to Türkiye and Europe, it also sets foot in Southeast Asian markets such as Vietnam and Taiwan, China, China CR DP800 steel. After the hot rolling steel plant is put into operation, the market supply of billets will be reduced.
