Atakas Steel, a large plate manufacturer in Türkiye S390N Grade E steel , said on September 25 that the third reversible cold rolling mill has started production. The commissioning of the new reverse rolling mill has increased Atakas' cold rolling S390N Grade E steel capacity by 350000 tons per year, reaching 1.05 million tons per year.
As far as we know, the company launched a 250000 ton/year hot-dip galvanizing production line last week, increasing the galvanizing capacity to 650000 tons/year. In addition, Atakas has a pickling capacity of 1.2 million tons per year and a cold rolling capacity of 1.05 million tons per year. The launch of these new production lines aims to meet the demand for value-added steel in the automotive and white goods industries.
More than 50% of Atakas' S390N Grade E steel production is used for export, and it has an annual throughput of 10 million tons at Iskenderun Port.
