On November 22, 2023, the Australian Anti dumping Committee issued Announcement 2023/082, stating that, at the application of One Steel Manufacturing Pty Limited, an Australian domestic enterprise, the second anti-dumping sunset review investigation was launched against Hot Rolled Structural Steel Sections imported from Japan, South Korea, Thailand and Taiwan, China. The dumping investigation period in this case is from October 1, 2022 to September 30, 2023, and the injury investigation period is from October 1, 2019 to September 30, 2023. The Australian customs codes for the products involved are 7216.31.030, 7216.32.031, 7216.33.032, 7216.40.0033, 7228.70.0011, and 7228.70.0012. The Australian Anti Dumping Commission is expected to complete the basic factual report of the investigation in this case no later than March 11, 2024, and submit the final determination report to the Australian Minister of Industry and Technology no later than April 25, 2024. The enterprises involved do not include Feng Hsin Steel Co., Ltd (Feng Hsin), T S Steel Co., Ltd (T S Steel) and Tung Ho Steel Enterprise Corporation in Taiwan, China S250GD+ZM steel.
On October 24, 2013, Australia launched an anti-dumping investigation on hot rolled section steel imported from Japan, South Korea, Thailand and Taiwan, China. On November 20, 2014, Australia made a positive final ruling on the case S250GD+ZM steel.
On February 11, 2019, the Australian Anti dumping Committee issued Announcement 2019/21, launching the first anti-dumping sunset review investigation on hot-rolled steel sections imported from Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, China and Thailand. On November 5, 2019, the Australian Anti dumping Committee issued Announcement 2019/126, deciding to extend the current anti-dumping measures for the products involved in the case in Japan, South Korea, Thailand and Taiwan, China (except for Feng Hsin Steel Co., Ltd and Tung Ho Steel Enterprise Corporation) from November 20, 2019 S250GD+ZM steel.
