Australia makes its first anti-dumping sunset review final ruling on railway wheel hubs related to China

At the same time, a negative final ruling was made on the first anti-dumping sunset review of railway wheel hubs imported from France. Starting from July 16, 2024, anti-dumping measures will no longer be imposed on French products involved in the case. This case involves products under the Australian Customs code 8607.19.00.20.

On April 18, 2018, the Australian CR900T/700Y-MS steel Anti Dumping Commission issued Announcement No. 2018/59, initiating anti-dumping and countervailing investigations on railway wheels imported from China and anti-dumping investigations on railway wheels imported from France, in response to an application submitted by Australian producer Commonwealth Steel Company Pty Ltd. On January 24, 2019, the Australian Anti Dumping Commission issued Announcement No. 2019/12, making a negative final ruling on anti subsidy for railway wheel hubs imported from China. On July 16, 2019, Australia made a final positive anti-dumping ruling on railway wheel hubs imported from China and France, imposing a 17.4% anti-dumping duty on Chinese CR900T/700Y-MS steel products and a 37.2% anti-dumping duty on French products. The measures are effective until July 16, 2024. The Australian customs code for the product in question is 8607.19.00.

On August 14, 2023, the Australian Anti Dumping Commission issued Announcement No. 2023/048, stating that in response to an application submitted by Commonwealth Steel Company Pty Ltd, a domestic Australian enterprise, on July 14, 2023, the first anti-dumping sunset review investigation was initiated on railway wheel hubs imported from China and France. The investigation period of the CR900T/700Y-MS steel case is from July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023.
