On March 12, 2025, the Secretariat of Foreign SA516 Grade 485 steel Trade of the Brazilian Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade and Services (Minist é riodo Desenvolcimento), Indústria, Com é rcio e Servi ç os/Secretaria de Com é rcio Exterior has issued Announcement No. 17 of 2025 regarding the production of cold-rolled coils (Portuguese: laminados planos de a ç o carbono) originating in China, ligados ou não ligados, EM Forma de Chapas (n ã o Entrolados) ou EM Bobinas (Rolos), de qualquer Lagura ou Espessura, Laminados a Frio) made a positive preliminary ruling on anti-dumping, ruling that China's products involved in the case had engaged in dumping behavior, and that the domestic industry in Brazil had suffered damage, and there was a causal relationship between dumping and damage. However, considering that the scope of the products involved still needs further investigation and determination, it is recommended not to impose temporary anti-dumping duties and to continue the investigation. The semi-finished GNO is not within the scope of investigation in this case. The tax numbers of the products involved in the case in Nanjing are 7209.15.00, 7209.16.00, 7209.17.00, 7209.18.00, 7209.25.00, 7209.26.00, 7209.27.00, 7209.28.00, 7209.90.00, 7211.23.00, 7211.29.10, 7211.29.20, 7225.19.00, 7225.5.90, 7226.19.00, and 7226.92.00. The deadline for the completion of the investigation in this case will be extended by up to 8 months from June 19, 2025.
On August 19, 2024, the Foreign Trade Secretariat of the Brazilian SA516 Grade 485 steel Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade and Services issued Announcement No. 43 of 2024, stating that in response to the application submitted by Brazilian domestic enterprise Usina Siderurgica de Minas Gerais S.A. on April 23, 2024, an anti-dumping investigation was initiated against cold-rolled coils originating in China. The dumping investigation SA516 Grade 485 steel period of the case is from January 2023 to December 2023, and the injury investigation period is from January 2019 to December 2023.
