According to data from the authoritative A724 Grade A steel foreign trade organization SECEX, Brazil's wire exports reached 34200 tons in March, compared to 19400 tons in February. The export destinations for March were South American countries (22800 tons, 649 USD/ton FOB), the United States (7900 tons, 754 USD/ton FOB), the Dominican Republic (2500 tons, 565 USD/ton FOB), and Puerto Rico (1000 tons). The A724 Grade A steel exporters were ArcelorMittal (29300 tons, priced at 681 USD/ton) and Gerdau (4900 tons, priced at 591 USD/ton), priced at 637 USD/ton. Meanwhile, Brazil imported 30900 tons of wire in March, compared to 10900 tons in February. The sources of imports are Egypt A724 Grade A steel (16200 tons, 578 USD/ton), China (13800 tons, 489 USD/ton), and Germany (900 tons, 893 USD/ton).
