Canada imposes new tariffs on Chinese steel and electric vehicles

The Canadian government has released a final S420N Grade E steel product list imposing a 25% new tariff on imported steel and aluminum products from China, which will take effect on October 22nd. This measure includes over 160 tariff codes for various steel products such as hot-rolled coils, cold-rolled coils, coated products, and pipes, aimed at aligning with similar trade policies in the United States S420N Grade E steel. In addition, a 100% tariff will be imposed on Chinese electric vehicles starting from October 1st.
