Canada initiates anti-dumping investigation on wire imported from China, Egypt, and Vietnam

Share:

On March 8th, the Canadian A1011 Grade 50(340) steel Border Service launched an investigation to determine whether some wire imported from China, Egypt, and Vietnam had caused damage to the domestic market. The Canadian Border Service stated in a statement that the investigation was initiated after a complaint was filed by the Ivaco A1011 Grade 50(340) steel rolling mill. This survey will cover hot-rolled carbon steel and alloy steel wires with circular or approximately circular cross-sections, rolled in coils, and actual cross-sectional diameters equal to or less than 25.5 millimeters.

We learned that in 2023, Canada imported a total of 123000 tons of related products from China, Egypt, and Vietnam A1011 Grade 50(340) steel.
