Canada launches the first double anti sunset review investigation into cold-rolled steel coils/plates related to China

On November 14 and 15, 2023, the International Trade Court of Canada (CITT) and the Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA) issued separate notices to initiate the first anti-dumping and anti subsidy sunset review investigation against Cold Rolled Steel S280GD+ZM steel originating from or imported from China, South Korea, and Vietnam. Stakeholders should submit the survey questionnaire for this sunset review before December 21, 2023. The Canadian Border Services Agency will make a final ruling on the sunset review investigation no later than April 12, 2024. The Canadian customs codes of the involved products are 7209.15.00.00, 7209.16.00.00, 7209.17.00.00, 7209.18.00.00, 7209.25.00.00, 7209.26.00.00, 7209.27.00.00, 7209.28.00.00, 7209.90.00, 7211.23.00.00, 7211.29.00.00, 7211.90.00, and 7225.50.00.00.

On May 25, 2018, the Canadian Border Services Agency launched anti-dumping and countervailing investigations against S280GD+ZM cold-rolled steel coils/plates originating from or imported from China, South Korea, and Vietnam. On October 31, 2018, the Canadian Border Services Agency made a final anti-dumping and countervailing ruling on S280GD+ZM cold-rolled steel coils/plates originating from or imported from China, South Korea, and Vietnam.
