Canada makes final anti-dumping ruling on Chinese inventory

On September 4, 2024, the Canadian S460 Grade C steel Border Services Agency (CBSA) made a final positive anti-dumping ruling on wire rods originating from or imported from China, Egypt, and Vietnam, ruling that the dumping margin for Chinese exporter Jiangsu Shagang International Trade Co., Ltd. was 34.0% and for other Chinese exporters was 46.2%; Egyptian exporter Suez Steel Co., Ltd. has a dumping margin of 8.6%, while other Egyptian exporters have a dumping margin of 21.3%; The dumping margin of Vietnamese S460 Grade C steel exporter Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel Joint Stock Company is 17.7%, and the dumping margin of Hoa Phat Hai Duong Steel Joint Stock Company is 13.5%. It is expected that the Canadian International Trade Court (CITT) will make a final ruling on industrial injury in this case before October 4, 2024. On March 8, 2024, the Canadian Border Services Agency launched an anti-dumping investigation into wire rods originating from or imported from China, Egypt, and Vietnam. On June 6, 2024, the Canada Border Services Agency made a preliminary positive anti-dumping determination on wire rods originating from or imported from China, Egypt, and Vietnam S460 Grade C steel.
