Cost Side Support Stronger, Indian Steel Authority Raises Board Prices for February

Share:

Driven by the rise in raw material prices, state-owned steel producer SAIL has raised the prices of hot and cold coils for February by 500 rupees per ton (6 US dollars per ton). However, due to the continued oversupply of the board market, the company provided a discount of 2000 rupees per ton (24 US dollars per ton) for January resources. After price adjustment, the HCT490X+ZA steel selling price of hot coils (IS2062, Gr-E250, 2.5-8mm) is 55000-55500 rupees/ton (663-669 US dollars/ton), and cold coils (IS513, Gr-O, 0.9mm) are 60500-61000 rupees/ton (729-735 US dollars/ton), excluding 18% commodity service tax. A local privately-owned leading HCT490X+ZA steel mill will also announce an increase in prices in the near future. It is expected that its plate prices will increase by 1000-1500 rupees/ton (12-18 US dollars/ton) in February, and no discount has been heard yet HCT490X+ZA steel.
