The current quotation for domestic hot coils in European SPFH590Y steel mills is 730-750 euros/ton EXW (795 US dollars/ton -815 US dollars/ton EXW), but the actual transaction is approaching 700-730 euros/ton EXW ruhr (760-795 US dollars/ton EXW), a decrease of about 15 US dollars/ton EXW on a week on week basis. Even though prices have been lowered, downstream users still have low purchasing enthusiasm, mainly due to the increased possibility of future prices falling below 700 euros/ton EXW.
In terms of imports, as the prices of hot coils in the Asian market continue to decline, its competitive advantage in the European market is also constantly improving. Currently, the quotation for imported hot coils in Europe is 625 euros/ton CFR (685 US dollars/ton), a decrease of 10 US dollars/ton compared to the previous week. The SPFH590Y steel import price of Vietnamese resources from Europe ranges from 610-620 euros/ton (660-672 US dollars/ton), while the import prices from Egypt and India remain relatively stable. Against the backdrop of continuous demand for slab imports in Europe, some Southeast Asian steel mills are unwilling to sell slabs at low prices locally. Currently, the price of slabs exported from Vietnam and Indonesia to Italy is approximately 570 USD/ton FOB (approximately 630 USD/ton CFR)SPFH590Y steel.
