Malaysia's East Steel Company will soon P355NL1 steel produce the first batch of hot-rolled coils through its newly put into use 1450mm hot rolling mill. The construction of this project took about 20 months and was completed in December. The production of the first batch of hot coils means that Malaysia's first hot rolling production equipment has begun to be put into use.
According to Beijing Jianlong Group, the design capacity of this new hot rolling mill is 3.5 million tons per year, and the actual P355NL1 steel output can reach 4 million tons per year. In addition, Donggang also has two slab continuous casting machines to ensure stable supply of slabs to the hot rolling mill. Currently, its annual slab production capacity has reached 2.7 million tons.
It is reported that Donggang P355NL1 steel plans to increase its annual crude steel production capacity to 5 million tons by 2027.
