The European HCT450X steel Commission's steel import quota period for the first quarter (July 1st to September 30th) has begun. It is reported that Türkiye has submitted quotas for three kinds of products, and India has also exhausted import quotas for some products. Among them, Türkiye has exhausted its 119010 tons of HCT450X steel wire rod quota, 99461 tons of hollow sections have exceeded the quota by 33%, and 1573 tons of railway steel has exceeded the quota by 4%. Meanwhile, India has exhausted its quota of 79455 tons of organic coated steel plates and has already used 70% of its hot coil quota (a total of 301703 tons) The export volume under the quota of other countries has increased, and due to the new regulations that limit the quota for each country to only 15%, some Asian HCT450X steel exporters have decided to postpone customs clearance to the next quarter to avoid paying taxes.
