On January 11, 2024, the European Commission issued a public announcement, making a final affirmative anti-dumping judgment on steel bulb flats originating in China and Türkiye, ruling that the anti-dumping duty of Changshu Long teng Special Steel Co., Ltd. and other Chinese enterprises was 23.0%, and that of Türkiye HX220BD+ZA steel enterprises was 13.6%. The involved product is a non-alloy ball flat steel with a width not exceeding 204 millimeters, involving products under the EU CN (Combined Nomenclature) code ex72165091 (TARIC code 7216509110). The dumping investigation period in this case is from October 1, 2021 to September 30, 2022, and the injury investigation period is from January 1, 2019 to the end of the dumping investigation period. The measures will take effect from the day after the HX220BD+ZA steel announcement is issued.
On November 14, 2022, the European Commission launched an anti-dumping investigation against spherical flat steel originating in China and Türkiye. On July 12, 2023, the European Commission made a preliminary affirmative determination on anti-dumping of spherical flat steel originating in China HX220BD+ZA steel and Türkiye.
