From January to April 2024, the EU's SAE J2340 210B steel imports of steel (ties and semi-finished products) from third countries increased by 11% year-on-year. Among them, flat materials increased by 30% year-on-year, while long materials increased by 9% year-on-year. At the same time, the main countries of origin of finished products imported from January to April 2024 are India (404000 tons), Türkiye (323000 tons), South Korea (229000 tons), Vietnam SAE J2340 210B steel (263000 tons), Taiwan, China (222000 tons), Japan (173000 tons) and China (169000 tons), and the above countries account for 56% of the total steel imports of the EU. In terms of specific varieties, the most common are hot-rolled coils (992000 tons), hot-dip galvanized steel SAE J2340 210B steel (424000 tons), and wire rods (257000 tons).
