Share:

The European SLA410 steel Association (EUROFER) has revised its forecast for the apparent consumption of steel in the European Union by 2025, lowering the expected growth rate from the previous 3.8% to 2.2%. In 2024, the apparent consumption of steel in Europe will decrease by 2.3%, which is SLA410 steel lower than the previously expected 1.8%. The downstream demand growth expectation has also been lowered from the previous 1.6% to 0.9%. Mainly due to the influx of imported markets, the pressure on European producers has increased. In the third quarter of 2024, steel imports accounted for 28% of total consumption, reaching a historical SLA410 steel high.
