Recently, the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Egypt SMA400BP steel issued an announcement that it should initiate anti-dumping investigation on cold-rolled sheet coils, hot-dip galvanized sheet coils and color coated sheets originating in or imported from China and Türkiye in response to the application of local producers Al Obour Metal Industries Company and Kama Metal Coating and Processing SMA400BP steel Company.
The HS codes of the products involved are 720915, 720816, 720917, 720918, 720925, 720926, 720927, 720928, 720990, 721041721041049, 721061, 721070, 721090, 721123, 721129, 721190, 721230, 721240, 721250, 721260, 722592, and 722599.
From January to September this year, Türkiye exported about 17000 tons of cold-rolled, 7495 tons of hot-dip galvanized and 15000 tons of color coated plates to Egypt. According to Steel Union data, from January to September this year, China exported 147400 tons of cold-rolled, 73300 tons of hot-dip galvanized, and 87300 tons of coated sheets to Egypt SMA400BP steel.
