On July 17, Erdemir, the largest steel producer in Türkiye, said that it would issue European bonds for the first time to finance its steel industry investment, and its 750 million yuan of European bonds would be traded in the European CR TRIP600 steel and American markets. The issuance attracted 130 international CR TRIP600 steel institutional funds, reflecting the confidence of international investment in Türkiye's steel industry and Erdemir. According to us, Erdemir plans to build electric arc furnaces at its Eregli and Iskenderun factories to reduce carbon emissions by 27.5% and 17.3%, increasing Eregli's steelmaking capacity from the current 3.9 million tons per year to 5.3 million tons per year and Iskenderun's CR TRIP600 steel steelmaking capacity from the current 5.8 million tons per year to 8.3 million tons per year.
