European board prices are on the decline, highlighting local advantages of high value-added products

For this week's European S460MC steel heatwave, the German factory quoted 720-730 euros/ton (780-790 US dollars/ton) for delivery from the Ruhr factory, with a shipping schedule in April. The estimated tradable value is 700-730 euros/ton EXW. The tradable price at the Ruhr factory ranges from 700 to 730 euros per ton (755 to 790 US dollars per ton), with a decrease of approximately 20 US dollars per ton compared to the previous week. Some steel mills have set the delivery price for April at 730 to 760 euros per ton EXW (equivalent to 792 to 825 US dollars). In terms of imports, Vietnam's resource quotation is 620 euros/ton CFR Italy (670 US dollars/ton), India's resource quotation is 640-650 euros/ton CFR Italy (700 US dollars/ton), and Japan's quotation is 620-660 euros/ton CFR Italy (670-720 US dollars/ton), a decrease of about 5 US dollars/ton compared to the previous week S460MC steel.

In terms of hot-dip galvanizing, there is basically no price difference between domestic and foreign resources, and imported resources are slightly lower than local resources by 10 euros/ton. However, considering uncertain factors such as transportation costs and shipping schedules, the transaction of imported resources is not smooth. Secondly, European steel mills focus on producing high value-added products, and imported hot-dip galvanizing cannot meet the customized needs of steel mills, so the price difference between local and imported resources is not significant. The current domestic hot-dip galvanizing price in Europe is 820 euros/ton EXW (888 US dollars/ton EXW), a decrease of about 20 US dollars/ton compared to the previous week. The imported hot-dip galvanizing price is 810 euros/ton EXW (877 US dollars/ton), a decrease of 15 US dollars/ton compared to the previous week S460MC steel.
