The production of pig iron reached 2.13 million tons, with a month on month increase of 6.2% and a year-on-year increase of 2.4%. The production of rolled materials was 2.6 million tons, with a month on month increase of 6.1% and a year-on-year increase of 2.5%. The SA36 steel production of converter steel was 2.35 million tons, with a month on month increase of 8.4% and a year-on-year increase of 4%.
The output of electric arc furnace (EAF) was 790000 tons, a month on month decrease of 13.8% and a year-on-year decrease of 22.2%.
In 2023, Germany's steel production ranked eighth among global producers, reaching 35.4 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 3.9%. Among them, the production of pig iron was 23.63 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 0.9%. The production of rolled materials was 30.64 million tons, a year-on-year SA36 steel decrease of 3.6%.
