According to the data of Türkiye SA516 Grade 415 steel Statistics Bureau (T ∨ K), in January this year, Türkiye's steel billet import increased by 101.3% year on year, but decreased by 27.4% month on month to 384900 tons. The total value of imported steel billets reached 196 million US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 82.8% and a month on month decrease of 29.2%.
In January 2025, Türkiye SA516 Grade 415 steel imported 105600 tons of steel billets from Malaysia, leading China (102300 tons) and Russia (78000 tons).
