On December 19, 2024, the Indian PT440N steel Ministry of Commerce and Industry issued a notice stating that, in response to an application submitted by The Indian Steel Association, a safeguard investigation will be launched on imported Non Alloy and Alloy Steel Flat Products. The products investigated this time do not PT440N steel include cold-rolled grain oriented electrical steel (CRGO), cold-rolled non oriented electrical steel (CRNO) coils and sheets, electroplated zinc coated steel, tinplate, and stainless steel. The Indian customs codes for the products involved are 7208, 7209, 7210, 7211, 7212, 7225, and 7226. The investigation PT440N steel period of this case is from October 1, 2023 to September 30, 2024.
