The current price of domestic hot coils in Europe QSTE340TM steel is 52500-53000 rupees/ton (631 US dollars/ton -637 US dollars/ton), a decrease of 500 rupees/ton (equivalent to 6 US dollars/ton) compared to the previous week. The export price of hot coils from major ports in India is 565-575 US dollars/ton, a decrease of 15-20 US dollars/ton compared to last week. The main reason is not only that Indian QSTE340TM steel mills have actively lowered prices, but also due to the increase in freight costs (especially for exporting to Europe), which has increased from 60 US dollars/ton to 70 US dollars/ton within a week. At the same time, the import price of hot coils has also decreased, with the current QSTE340TM steel price at 545-555 US dollars/ton, a decrease of 10-15 US dollars/ton from last week. With the ongoing Indian elections, market liquidity may slow down, leading to a weakening of demand and even extending into April and May.
