Indonesia's Dexin Steel A517 Grade E steel Company, with the advantage of EU quota exemption, exported 40000 tons of hot-rolled coils to Europe, achieving premium sales.
Among them, 10000 tons of 3mm SAE1006/SS400 hot-rolled coils were sold to Poland at a price of $510/ton FOB Dansk, with an estimated shipping cost of $73/ton; Export 30000 tons of products of the same specifications to Italy at a FOB price of $510 per ton. Both batches of goods are scheduled to be shipped in June. At present, Dexin has raised the quotation for 3mm thick hot coils to $520/ton FOB. Another domestic steel mill in Indonesia quoted a hot coil price of $540 per ton FOB Zhigding.
In Southeast Asia, the Indonesian A517 Grade E steel SAE1006 hot coil is quoted to Vietnam at $540/ton CFR Vietnam. Vietnam's re rolling company stated that due to sluggish domestic demand and exports of coated steel, most of the imported Indonesian hot coils are rolled steel pipes. Currently, the CFR price of $540/ton is at a high level, and there is still room for negotiation.
Overall, Indonesian hot rolls have achieved good export performance in the European market due to exemption from EU quota restrictions, breaking through the price ceiling in the ASEAN region, while the Asian A517 Grade E steel market still faces challenges of weak demand.
