Recently, Italian steel producers have successfully raised domestic steel prices, almost reaching the desired target level.
At present, the supplier's quotation is generally between 300-310 euros/ton EXW (base price), and the transaction S235W Grade C steel price of 12mm B450C grade steel bars is around 565-575 euros/ton EXW. In contrast, most of the transaction prices last week remained at the EXW (base price) level of 270-290 euros/ton, which is 535-555 euros/ton EXW (actual price). In addition, a local steel mill's quotation even reached 320 euros/ton EXW (base price), which is 585 euros/ton EXW (actual price).
The business activities in the Italian S235W Grade C steel reinforcement market have improved, which has to some extent supported the price increase. Market participants indicate that steel mills are raising prices, and this time they should be able to reach new price levels.
In terms of exports, the export S235W Grade C steel prices of Italian steel mills to the Mediterranean region remain stable, with November shipping quotes remaining in the FOB range of 575-580 euros/ton.
