Italy's crude steel production in September S500Q Grade E steel decreased by 8.4% year-on-year to 1.8 million tons. The reason for the decline in production is the decrease in production of Acciaierie d'italia S500Q Grade E steel, the second largest steel producer in Italy. ADI has recently restarted its No.1 blast furnace unit with an annual output of 2 million tons as planned, aiming to increase crude steel production to 1.9 million to 2 million tons by the end of 2024. In September, long timber decreased by 5.4% to 1.1 million tons, and flat timber decreased by 9.1% to 755000 tons. In 2023, Italy produced a total of 21.1 million S500Q Grade E steel tons of steel, a decrease of 2.5% year-on-year.
