S58C (JIS G4051) is a kind of high strength medium carbon steel, high strength, hardness and elasticity,but workbility is not high, low cold deformation plasticity, low hardenability, water quenching have a tendency to crack, so large parts not suitable for hardening. S58C (JIS G4051) more used in normalized condition, S58C (JIS G4051) is only suitable for small parts quenching, poor weldability,andS58C (JIS G4051) is not sensitive in temper brittleness .
