We has learned that Indian steel mills may lower their local hot coil ex factory prices for April, with prices expected to decrease by 1000-1500 rupees per ton (approximately 12-18 US dollars per ton), and a steel mill in eastern India SPHD steel has already lowered the ex factory price of April hot coils by 1250 rupees per ton (approximately 15 US dollars per ton).
We has heard that the current transaction price of Indian hot coils is about 52250 rupees/ton EXW (about 626 US dollars/ton EXW), with a month on month decrease of about 1250 rupees/ton (about 15 US dollars/ton). Some SPHD steel agents have stated that steel mills have planned to reduce the April hot coil price by 1000-1500 rupees/ton (about 12-18 US dollars/ton). In addition, We also learned that there were previous Indian hot coil buyers planning to import hot coils from China. However, due to the current downward trend in local hot coil prices in India, there is a certain gap between the expected prices of Indian hot coil buyers and the export prices of Chinese hot coils. However, Chinese hot coil export prices still have certain advantages. Therefore, We expects that after the Indian hot coil market is relatively stable in the future, Indian buyers may consider importing some Chinese SPHD steel hot coil resources.
