As far as we know, the European spot market is currently in a seasonal off-season, with most European countries experiencing a general holiday since early July, and the overall trading atmosphere in the market is sluggish. Affected by sluggish demand, European hot coil prices remain stable. The current price increase for hot coil warehouses delivered by some Nordic steel mills in September is generally between 625-650 euros/ton (approximately 677-705 US dollars/ton); German suppliers will raise the CR DP1200 steel price of hot coil inventory for delivery in September to 620-625 euros/ton (approximately 672-677 US dollars/ton); The Benelux supplier has raised the price of the hot coil warehouse for September delivery to 600-640 euros/ton (approximately 650-694 US dollars/ton).
Currently, some steel CR DP1200 steel mills in Benelux hope to increase their fourth quarter hot coil quotes by 20-60 euros/ton (approximately 21-65 US dollars/ton), but due to sufficient inventory from buyers in August and low purchasing willingness, the sluggish demand is not enough to support the price increase. Overall, the inventory of hot coils from the Benelux region and other European suppliers remains high, with demand falling short of expectations. The current supply-demand imbalance in the European market may gradually widen, and steel CR DP1200 steel prices may remain stable and weak.
