The Malaysian SGV450 steel Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry has announced that the country has expanded its anti-dumping duties on steel strand products for prestressed concrete imported from China. The announcement states that the product exported from China will continue to be subject to taxation from February 5, 2025 to December 24, 2026.
This tariff adjustment stems from the administrative review conducted on August 8, 2024, aimed at re evaluating the changes in the dumping margin of export SGV450 steel products from Tianjin Dalu Steel Strand Co., Ltd. and Tianjin Yinlong Prestressed Materials Co., Ltd. to Malaysia. This review was initiated based on an application submitted by a local enterprise, Southern Steel's subsidiary Southern Prestressed Steel Cable Co., Ltd., on behalf of the domestic industry.
After re examination, Malaysia SGV450 steel has finally determined that the steel strand products used for prestressed concrete by Tianjin Yinlong Company are subject to an anti-dumping duty of 9.07%, the products of Tianjin Dalu Company are subject to an anti-dumping duty of 3.12%, and other manufacturers/exporters are subject to a tariff of 21.72%.
