On October 11, 2024, the Malaysian S960Q steel Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry announced the initiation of an anti-dumping investigation into steel wire rods originating from or imported from China, Indonesia and Vietnam, in response to the application submitted by the domestic production enterprise Southern S960Q steel Steel Berhad on September 11, 2024. The Malaysian Harmonized Tariff Number and ASEAN Harmonized Tariff Number (AHTN) of the products involved are 7213.91.1000, 7213.91.2000, 7213.91.9000, and 7227.90.9000. The preliminary ruling of this case is expected to be made within 120 days from the date of filing.
The stakeholders of this case should apply for the survey questionnaire from the Malaysian Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry no later than October 25, 2024, and submit the survey questionnaire and relevant supporting materials to the Malaysian Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry S960Q steel no later than November 9, 2024.
