On December 25, 2024, the Malaysian X7Ni9 steel Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry announced the initiation of an anti-dumping sunset review investigation into Cold Rolled Coils of Iron or Non Aluminum Steel with a width greater than or equal to 1300 millimeters originating from or imported from China, Japan, South Korea and Vietnam, in response to an application submitted by Mycron Steel CRC Sdn. Bhd., a domestic production enterprise in Malaysia. The products involved do not include tin plated black steel X7Ni9 steel plates and cold-rolled steel coils used for automotive and finned transformer terminals. The final ruling of this case is expected to be made within 180 days from the date of filing.
