According to Nansei Steel, a large Japanese scrap steel export company, it plans to acquire the steel mill of Vietnamese DC01 Steel manufacturer Pomina2 in Vung Tau province for 3.2 billion yen (approximately 208 million US dollars) within two years. From July 2024 onwards, Nansei Steel will pay a fixed fee of approximately 900 million yen (approximately 6 million US dollars) annually for two years. Pomina is one of the largest DC01 Steel producers in Vietnam, and its brand mainly consists of Pomina1, Pomina2, and Ton pomina. Pomina1 and Pomina2 mainly produce construction steel, while Ton pomina mainly produces galvanized sheet metal DC01 Steel products such as coils.
