OFV director Oyvind Solberg Thorsen stated in a statement that Norway has long had a strong passion for electric vehicles, and under this trend, the goal of 100% zero emission vehicles by 2025 may soon be achieved.

Overall, the total sales of new passenger cars in Norway in August were 11114 units, unchanged year-on-year, with a month on month increase of 72.1%. The total sales of new cars in the first 8 months were 78828 units, a year-on-year decrease of 7.4%. As far as we know, Norway has always been one of the leaders in the high penetration rate of trams in Europe, thanks to government incentives including exemption from purchase/import taxes, exemption from 25% purchase value-added tax, reduction of annual road taxes, halving of toll road and ferry fees, reduction of municipal parking S235J0 steel fees, and use of bus lanes.
