On January 23, 2025, the Peruvian PT610Q steel National Agency for Competition and Intellectual Property Protection's Committee on Dumping, Subsidies, and the Elimination of Non Tariff Trade Barriers published Announcement No. 003-2025/CDBINDECOPI in the official daily newspaper El Peruano, stating that at the request of Peruvian producer Corporaci ó n Aceros Arequipa S.A., the ban on Chinese origin wire rods (Spanish: alambr ó n de acero sin alear), de bajo y alto carbono, de sección y superficie lisa, Y con un di á metro que var í a entre 5.5 mm y 16 mm) initiates anti-dumping investigation. The dumping investigation period of this case is from July 2023 to June 2024, and the injury investigation PT610Q steel period is from July 2021 to June 2024. The products involved are low-carbon and high carbon non alloy wire rods with diameters ranging from 5.5 to 16 millimeters and smooth surfaces and cross-sections. They are related to products under Peruvian tax codes 7213.20.00.00, 7213.91.10.00, 7213.91.90.00, and 7213.99.00.00. The announcement shall come into effect from the date of PT610Q steel publication.
