The steel S500M Grade D steel production of Qarmet (formerly ArcelorMittal Temirtau), a steel plant in Kazakhstan, increased by 14% year-on-year from January to September 2024, reaching 2.6 million tons. The coal production from January to September reached 4.7 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 2%, and the concentrate production increased by 17% year-on-year, reaching 2.3 million tons. It is expected that the company will increase its steel production to 3.5 million tons by 2024. By 2028, produce 5 million tons S500M Grade D steel of steel, mine 9 million tons of coal, and produce 5 million tons of concentrate.
