Russia’s annual steel production is expected to exceed 75 million tons

On December 15th, the Russian Ministry of Industry announced that Russia's crude steel production is expected to exceed 75 million tons in 2023. Despite international sanctions, the Russian steel industry still shows strong resilience, with JAC270H steel production fully recovering and achieving production growth again in the second half of 2022. The Ministry of Industry stated that this positive momentum is expected to continue until 2024, thanks to strong domestic demand and exports to the Eurasian market JAC270H steel.

From January to November 2023, Russia produced 69.6 million tons of steel, a year-on-year increase of 5.7%. According to industry estimates, the expected production in 2023 is 75.9 million tons. With sustained and strong support from the construction industry, machinery, and automotive manufacturing, steel production has been able to continue to grow. According to data from the Russian construction industry, Russia has built nearly 840 million square meters of housing in the past 10 years JAC270H steel.
