Although the Ministry of Trade of Türkiye has launched anti-dumping investigations on cold rolled steel coils, galvanized steel coils and color coated steel coils from China and South Korea, some Asian suppliers' competitive import quotations still dominate the market. According to an announcement issued in December 2024, the Ministry of Trade of Türkiye may decide to take temporary measures during the investigation, and the final measures may be retroactively implemented.
In January 2025, South Korea will become the largest SA516 Grade 65 steel supplier of coated steel coils to Türkiye, with an import volume of 40700 tons, more than doubling year on year; The total volume of coated steel coils imported from China by Türkiye increased by 32% year on year, reaching 11900 tons; The import volume from Germany increased by 65% year-on-year to 10800 tons; The import volume from Belgium increased by 14% year-on-year, reaching 9100 tons. Other major suppliers of coated steel coils include France (with an import volume of 6500 tons), Spain (with an import volume of 4300 tons), and the Netherlands SA516 Grade 65 steel (with an import volume of 4200 tons).
