The South Korean A517 Grade A steel Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy has stated that in response to the steel industry crisis caused by trade barriers and unfair imports, South Korea will take measures to prevent the evasion of anti-dumping duties imposed on imported steel products, in order to protect the local steel industry. To prevent the evasion of dumping of steel and aluminum, the South Korean government plans to revise customs regulations to allow the Korea Trade Commission (KTC) to investigate A517 Grade A steel traders for evading anti-dumping duties through third-party transshipment.
