We have learned that last week, Southeast Asia's overall quotation for Italian slab has declined. Mainstream steel mills in Indonesia SPH440HY steel and Vietnam lowered their slab prices to $540 per ton (approximately $590 per ton) last week. China has also lowered its quotation for 6 Italian slabs, with a current price of $595-615 per ton of CFR, compared to $600-620 per ton last week. At present, among Southeast Asian quotations, India and Malaysia offer higher prices, with India quoting $620-630 per ton of CFR to Italy and Malaysia SPH440HY steel quoting $625 per ton of CFR. Transaction information is difficult to find.
Some traders have stated that Italian buyers are expected to SPH440HY steel price no more than $590 per ton in the near future.
