Overall, the European hot coil market remained stable this week, with factory delivery prices in the northern region ranging from 620-630 euros/ton ($667/ton - $687/ton EXW), with little change compared to the previous week. The European DC03ED steel heat wave has a preparation time of 4-5 weeks. Some DC03ED steel suppliers have exited the market from the end of June to early July as they have completed orders from July to August. It is expected that prices will rise in September, with an estimated EXW of around 20-30 euros per ton. In southern Europe, the ex factory quotation for Italian hot coils is 620 euros/ton EXW (approximately 667 US dollars/ton), a decrease of 5 euros/ton EXW compared to the previous week.
In terms of import market, Vietnam, Taiwan, China and Japan all exceeded the EU hot roll quota, while India's hot roll quota reached 69%, so the hot roll imported to Europe will be reduced subsequently. The price of hot coils originating in Türkiye to Italy DC03ED steel is 580 USD/ton CFR.
