Zaporozhstal Steel A424 Type III Plant is one of the largest steel mills in Ukraine, mainly producing hot-rolled and cold-rolled steel coils, plates, strips, and sections.
In 2023, the average capacity utilization rate of Zaporozhstal was 70%, and the annual production of steel coils increased by 60%, reaching 2.055 million tons. The annual production of crude steel is 2.467 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 70%. The annual production of pig iron is 2.719 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 35.3%.
According to Ukrainian A424 Type III media reports, Zaporozhstal's steel coil production in the first half of 2024 increased by 46.1% year-on-year, reaching 1.234 million tons. The crude steel production was 1.486 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 45.9%. The production of pig iron was 1.527 million tons, a year-on-year increase of 33.3%. In June 2024 alone, Zaporozhstal produced 237000 tons of pig iron, 236700 tons of crude steel, and 183000 tons of A424 Type III coils.
