This week, with the appreciation of the Chinese yuan and the overall increase in plate prices, the prices of hot-rolled medium and thick steel plates have also risen, but the increase is significantly smaller than that of hot-rolled coils. The increase in resources at different ports is between 5-10 US dollars per ton. The transaction level of leading HDT750C+ZF steel mills in Northeast China is about 560-570 US dollars per ton FOB, while the transaction level of advantageous private resources in North China is as low as 545-550 US dollars per ton FOB. Chinese HDT750C+ZF steel mills have provided us with feedback that the recent increase in the medium plate is relatively low compared to the hot coil, and this is partly due to a slight reduction in supply, combined with similar increases in raw material prices, resulting in poor factory efficiency. At present, the main delivery date for medium HDT750C+ZF plate exports has entered February, and this week's transactions have slightly improved compared to last week.
